Can you remember the first time someone invited you to play pickleball? Did you laugh at the name or maybe think, “That’s for athletic people, not me!” I know I did! But look at us now—completely hooked, right?

Each one of us knows who’s responsible for introducing us to this AMAZING sport, and we thank that person after each satisfying smash on the court. But let me ask you, who taught you how to play the game? Was it that same friend who got you started? Or did you take a class, maybe even hire a coach to show you the ropes?

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in America for the third year in a row! People everywhere are picking up paddles and hitting the courts. But the real reason it’s exploding in popularity is that new players are constantly learning how to play and falling in love with it. Here in Las Vegas, we might be starved for courts, but trust me, there are plenty of options for beginners and anyone eager to learn more about the sport!

So, where do you start? How do you jump in, and who’s going to get you rolling? Honestly, the best place in Las Vegas right now is the Plaza Hotel at 8 AM on Saturdays. If you consider yourself a beginner, this is where you need to be. You’ll learn from a pro pickleball player and certified instructor who knows how to teach the game the right way. This particular class has introduced over 6,000 new players to pickleball, giving them the skills they need to hit the courts in their own neighborhoods. If you want to start pickleball, this is where you begin!
